Discussing for what we know ( advanced plane, uav and similar tests ) the defense for the area seems commensurate to this type of activities ( border far away from the base ) but + or - nothing else beetween.
The conformation of the base would not seem safe if in the base there was something important like Nuke head. From satellite it seems that there are no anti missile point ( I could be wrong... ), or similar device, that the base could use in the case of a rapid attack from terrorist that want to grab nuke head for example. Too many open space..... What should be the reaction time for the base to neutralize an attack that starts from the border without advice?
