Now I am not going to get into anything specific, but I will say that where I was stationed, there were MULTIPLE perimeters all with various, very sensitive systems to detect and monitor the presence of anyone and anything around the borders... So for example say you had clearance to work in the maintenance or support shops near the flight line (which are inside of their own perimeter where you have positive ID verification to access) but not on the flight line, there is nothing between you and the flight line, but you can't get within 15 feet of the infamous Red Line on foot or otherwise without being detected. All that said I am not even starting to talk about the nuclear weapons storage area, which has yet another perimeter. So that is a lot of words to say that some bases have VERY strict security measures even if they aren't immediately apparent...
