I'm sure the base security already has you and your wife's name, as well as vehicle descriptions, on their 'alert' list and are just waiting. They definitely will not give her a warning as she has already announced her intention. Base security definitely monitors this forum.

As retired Law Enforcement, of course, I used my discretion. It's easy to tell when someone makes an honest mistake and when someone is trying to get away with something. They may not pounce on her if she quickly retreats but a sheriff will be waiting to stop you as you drive back to the highway.
I just don't see her accomplishing anything.
