I'm one of those East Coasters, as well. I've been meaning to get out there, but just haven't gotten around to finding the time to do it (although, I have pledged to my friends and colleagues, next year; DEFINITELY!). I wonder if there would be any harm in taking a pinch of dirt from JUST inside the boundary sign on GLR. You know, just enough for an eye-dropper bottle, but something you claim came FROM Area 51.
