Good questions and now I have to figure out how to post screen shots from a laptop. I got my box from a seller in Reno for $10 less than the one listed with free shipping but $18.40 isn't to bad. What I receive with just the antenna is 10 to 20 or more planes because of line of sight. With the network it's 1,000 to 2,000 IDs along with aircraft pictures. I panned over to Europe and got many more hits. The software contains ALL information, airports, roads, city and country maps, aids to navigation for the whole world. It looks like an online subscription is $60+- a year and you don't need a box to use the software. SBS1 and AirNav have forums along with Yahoo groups. Geocaching. Next time we're there
