From my research and according to the toxicology reports from the CDC, JP-7 is made by refining kerosene, a product of refined crude petroleum with special cesium based additive. JP-7 is JP-7 because of these special additives.

It seems to me that this information was a controlled release. The fact that cesium was used as an additive and kept secret from other government agencies is also interesting.

What I don't understand is why it is as expensive as "fine scotch whiskey".

If anyone has any other information about the cesium it would be highly appreciated. I have request from Blackbird maintainers currently working in other AF programs about JP-7 and cesium.

I'm beginning to think that this information is a bit too serious for open discussion. Maybe just a little too hot to handle???
