I assume just about any military aircraft in the area could be tasked to intercept and escort another aircraft out of an area where they shouldnt be. My dad used to fly in B-52 #008 back in the day at Edwards. He told me of two occasions he was tasked to intercept and escort small aircraft out of areas they shouldnt be. One was a small plane they were told to intercept out of the Nellis Ranges and the other was a small plane out of China Lake. just imagine that sight.
