I think maybe sometimes we give our guys too much credit. There is that story true or not about that professor who took a night walk.
There is a lot of desert out there, and I am sure that somewhere along the way interested parties have attempted to penetrate the area to a degree.
With the level of training and expertise attained by various groups , friendly and unfriendly, who knows?
A successful penetration and observation would be one that would have gone un detected.
