Putting a fence up would sort of go against the whole myth of the base, the myth that there is nothing to see. It would prove there is something to see and we are not allowed to see it. I know, what about the camo dudes and the road sensors and . . . Well a fence is plain evident that there is something there, the other methods are less obvious.

The Gov. Land signs are all across this country both rural and urban areas, so I assume that's the reason they use them there and can play it off as protecting the land, nothing more.

Now how does one miss the sign? That's a good one. Nothing else is there to distract you from the sign. Heck you can't take a cell call or text message, no reception out there.

How can you miss the road? The base? Powerlines overlook? Many reasons, I missed them all the first drive by !
