I agree that giving a computer the ability to make kill decisions is very scary. It makes the battlefield more impersonal, thus it is easier to kill more people. I don't think the answer to ending wars is another killing device. After all wasn't dynamite supposed to end all wars? Wasn't nuclear weapons going to end all wars?

It is a kind of paradox: We need a military to defend our country. But once we have the military, wars can escalate to the point of defending and attacking have no difference.
