Some are easy to figure out "Thunder" is for Thunderbirds, "Raptor" for F-22, Strike for F-15E, Viper for F-16 57th weapons school. Other common ones follow the list on the scanner freqs tgid's page for the system. One other point to remember is the NTS and Creech AFB. also use this system. Repeaters are on top of the mountains around the valley. So sometimes you can hear "Bird Dog" the NTS control center. Other times you can hear Creech security or munitions. The point is not all the stuff is Nellis. Best idea is to use win500 or Freescan to log the activity, and try to isolate the tgid's. OBTW NTS is less formal they often use their own names as callsigns. The DLR tgid list is about 85-90% correct with some missing. Thus the joy of scanning and catching a new id from time to time. Good luck!
