The race track solution is simple. It is a track where moving targets can migrate around and be looked at by test articles for accuracy and identification purposes; they are guided by in "road" cables that the vehicles are programmed to follow. Test vehicles from way out (100+ miles) can track these moving targets are and record test data which is then compared to where the "target" actually was thus defining actual system capabilities. Note the large parking areas at the East and West ends.
