Just as a matter of interest. The Papoose Mountain sensor facility is often mentioned in conjunction with the Groom Lake operation. Looking over the routes and roads out of the base on Google Earth, if you follow the route out past the explosives storage area, through the mountains, it does not actually connect to the Papoose Mountain facility, nor does it actually connect through or across the mountains to the rest of the NTS. It just comes to a dead stop. Strange...
