One of the most significant changes visible in the 2009 satellite image of Groom Lake is the movement of lakebed runway 03-21. It has been moved south until it crosses runway 09-27 at midfield. This change appears to have been implemented in response to flooding on the north end of the lakebed. I must say, the quality of this new satellite image is fantastic. The lines on the tennis court are clearly visible. It's the next best thing to being there. Has anybody else noticed the Beech 1900 commuter plane on short final to runway 32R?
