After yet another 10-15 mins of looking at the track, I can see that it is not built in nice straight lines. The straight-away by the paved road, bottom of the picture, is not very straight at all. Unless there is a land feature that needed to be navigated while building, it seems the construction team didn't need to be dead on. Also, I google-earthed our matro-parks and can see a huge resemblence to our nature/all purpose path to the new track. I am staying with the all-purpose track idea for now, I promise not to look at the image again. lol
