3rd Reich Stealth Plane Docu. (slight OT)

So, probably quite a few of you have heard the story of the Horten 229 prototype fighter that the Germans flew before the end of the war-- and probably you have also heard the rumors that it was a radar low-observable plane by design.

Just watched a National Geographic documentary that follows some Northrop Grumman engineers (who also work on their deep black projects) as they build an RCS model of the plane and test it out at the NG RCS range. Worth watching, especially since they have footage of "the pole" and in the control rooms for the first time ever.

Certainly worth watching. It does the usual cable documentary re-cap the re-cap thing to make things last longer, but it's very cool to watch these guys at work.

For those that know the story, what do you think the odds are that, given the timing of the german designs and the genesis of Northrop's work here, some of the concepts or technologies currently in use were lifted from the germans- maybe even before the war?

I won't say where, but you can definitely find the docu streaming online somewhere...
