Yes, the original satellite image is 0.5 meter resolution. My bad, it was taken by GeoEye-1, not Ikonos-2. I had to scale down the overview because of load time and bandwidth restrictions. I am sure you will love the full size version... It needs a lot of horsepower to just load the image, though.

The image is one huge TIF file (about 1.5GB). It comes on a DVD, with several supporting files, including a text "readme" file.

The coverage includes some of the remote sites in Emigrant Valley, and the entire Groom dry lake. I am afraid coverage of that resolution all the way up to Base Camp would be somewhere in the several $100k range, at least...
