Security at Groom is not like anything you will run across at the average military base or mall parking lot. They have an external shell perimeter that should deter 99.9% of all adventure seekers amongst which is a operation that will absolutely stop any miscreants with extreme efficiency. If you don't believe that, just drive GLR and disregard the signs or gates and see where you wind up.

"Security" there is in and entirely different league than what we as the average civvy can imagine.
