I agree with what you say a 100%, as far as the Z-axis of tall objects in Google Earth. Depending on the relative position of the satellite to the object, it can appear to be leaning at different angles. But when you look at a feature on the ground, or at any constant elevation, such as the top of the triangular tower, I would not expect to see a lot of distortion. So, even if the buildings may be leaning in opposite angles in different pictures, their roofs (and bases) should be reasonably well aligned.
