I agree, it could be a trick of light and of the angle the photo was taken. But the difference in aparent rotation is quite significant.

The photo on the page titled "New Tall Structure at Area 51, January 2006" is actually from my June 10, 2007 hike. The page title only reflects the date the tower was first confirmed on a satellite image. I have a (poor quality) photo from a June 1, 2008 hike, which shows the tower in the same orientation as the other Tikaboo photos.

The Google Earth photo is the only one that does not seem to line up with the others. What is interesting is that it is also the only one where the two large dishes are not in their "home" position, but are pointed north, indicating that the radar range is active.
