Just to add, this is apparently the same track that the Bush Admin was taking with the F-22......so it's not a Dem vs. GOP thing going on here. Plenty of Dems voted to provide extra money and extend production.
What was the transport airplane receiving mentioned in the accompanying press release? They didn't mention the extra appropriations for the C-17 so I assume it's not that. The joint Army/USAF Spartan buy? Something else?
