"N359BJ", an experimental Aircraft of the RAAF, arrived at Nellis this morning, straight from the Boeing plant in Washington, where it is undergoing a flight test and evaluation program. The modified Boeing 737-700 is an Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft, modified in Australia for Project Wedgetail. It has an advanced Multi-role Electronically Scanned Array (MESA) antenna by Northrop Grumman, an extensive communications suite and aerial refueling capability. It will likely undergo more flight tests in the Nellis Ranges over the coming weeks.
