I found this website that has tons of information about the Navy's test area at China Lake. I was trying to find out more information on a new runway that I would guess is used for UAVs. On Google Earth you can see about 1000' of the runway but the rest is old imagery, masking it from our view. To see for yourself, go to 35.414333N, -117.415908W.

FWIW, the UK's facilities are located in one of the two secure compounds on the southern edge of the airfield. 35.403030N, -117.411408W. If you have more info on the UK's activities here, please contribute.

Snoop around the ranges on Google Earth and see what you can find. Lot's of interesting things in plain sight. Although the shadow doesn't appear quite right, there appears to be an A-12A Avenger II (mock-up?) sitting near the RCS range at 36.031137N, -117.301374W. This could also be one of the X-45 or X-47 demonstrators.
