The two well known spots are the Speedway, anywhere between gates one and six (they don't always come close to one gate or another - it's usually pretty varied - watching all the photographers' vehicles race to and from the various gates can be pretty funny; and Cheyenne Rd at the south end (x-street Nellis). There are several spots along Cheyenne that are good, depending on whether the a/c are taking off or landing. Ringe St / Cheyenne is a good place for both takeoffs and landings (but it's an afternoon spot), while if you go all the way to the end where the road turns right, this is a good spot for morning landings. There's also the desert area at the north end of the base, there are several dirt roads that lead to good viewpoints. Hope that helps.
