not area 51 but the NTS near Mecury - west of the ridges from area 51. and furthermore, nearly all the craters are from underground tests, thousands of feet deep, so that's how people can work there - no or negligible fallout would have been created to affect people working at the test site. I'm sure they're all closely monitored anyways for exposure.

if the fallout's so danagerous and long lived, how can Hiroshima and Nagasaki be occupied within only a few years of the a-bombs? Its maybe a different case, with a concentration of only one bomb in the 10-20 KT range.

the clip seems more un- or ill-informed than interesting.
