not area 51 but the NTS near Mecury - west of the ridges from area 51. and furthermore, nearly all the craters are from underground tests, thousands of feet deep, so that's how people can work there - no or negligible fallout would have been created to affect people working at the test site. I'm sure they're all closely monitored anyways for exposure. the clip seems more un- or ill-informed than interesting.
if the fallout's so danagerous and long lived, how can Hiroshima and Nagasaki be occupied within only a few years of the a-bombs? Its maybe a different case, with a concentration of only one bomb in the 10-20 KT range.
