I had the privilege to see the launch on Nov 14th from about 14 miles out. It was awesome as it turned the night sky into daylight! Unfortunately I did not have my camera and all the iPhone got was a blurry ball of light! I highly encourage a trip to see one as there are only a dozen or so left on the books. If an accident happens I hear they will pull the plug right then...

I'm glad I didn't know it was landing at Edwards until it was too late or I would have made the trip. I called the base for the last landing there and they said IT WAS NOT open to the public. I find that sad. I saw Discovery land there in April 1990 and although it is a very quick show, I still think it was still worth the trip!
