I have been around the Air Force most of my life and in my experience pretty much everyone in the military and defense industry has a personal repertoire of strange and fascinating stories to tell. Most often the stories make more sense when they are told with all the details and in full context of the situation in which they occured. It's when we get bits and pieces that we tend to fill in the gaps with our imagination which creates a mystery.
