The DET 3 SP Job Knowledge Handbook is the real deal. It was written for the Groom Lake security personnel in 1988, so it's a little out of date now. Even so, it contains a lot of good information.

The handbook was never classified but was labeled FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY and was treated as sensitive information. Someone leaked it to the Las Vegas Review Journal in the mid-1990s when the Groom Lake environmental lawsuit was taking place. Attorney Jonathan Turley had a copy and the Air Force tried to argue that it was classified. In the end, it was locked in Turley's office where only he had access to it. That's called "locking the barn door after the horse has left." Everybody on the planet with access to a computer can download it off the Internet and make copies.
