That's definitely not enough glass to get shots any better than we've seen already. From what I've read on this forum, almost all of the panoramas and detailed photos have been taken on a celestron spotting scope of some type, which take in a whole lot more light.

This device would probably be lighter-weight, but my guess is you wouldn't be getting enough light to get a very worthwhile image. Perhaps with very long exposures, but when you add in wind and atmosphere (even on a tripod) at a distance of almost 30 miles from your target... this probably wouldn't be a great buy.

This is just from my photographic experience... haven't been to the peak- anyone who has(lone wolf? Jeorg?) care to comment?
