I would not say the sheriff is agains the project. He was just covering his bases and answered the questions of the commission about safety issues etc. truthfully. One of the things he said was that guards in private prisons do not have to be certified in any way. A GED qualifies you as a prison guard in a private prison. Pretty scary, huh?
