I combed the same area near the old dump last year in September. It took a while but with GPS coords and some walking, I was able to find some small bits. Some turbine blades and a thermo- coupling with engraved serial numbers on it. I have no idea what kind of aircraft it was. Will be back this September. Many crash sites mentioned by Glenn Campbell and Chuck Clark are without GPS coords, if anyone has some coords, email me and I'll send you a report and pictures when I go to Rachel next month. I talked with Pat at the Inn and she said years ago her late husband Joe had collected a lot of various large pieces of wreckage and had them on display in front of the restaurant, but due to risk of injury to guests from sharp edges he moved it all across the road. Since then all of it has disappeared. Fascinating........
