I can almost believe the bird idea. Maybe a big bird catching thermals off the desert floor and maneuvering awkwardly which would explain the weird look of his wings. What about the really long legs? They don't make sense to me. Maybe if he were closer to the ground on the hunt with legs extended - or is he slowing down and he has his legs stuck out to increase drag? I think it's interesting that Joerg didn't know it was there when he took the shot. Is it possible that it's dust on lens or something easily explained like this? Sedalia
