The Lockheed Martin P-175 Polecat UAV made two flights in 2005 from Yucca Dry Lake in Area 6 of the Nevada Test Site. One flight took place on 19 June 2005. The next flight was scheduled for around September, with plans to move testing to another part of the range.

The vehicle crashed during flight-testing on 18 December 2006 at the Nevada Test and Training Range. An irreversible unintentional failure in the flight termination ground equipment caused the aircraft's automatic fail-safe flight termination mode to activate.
