Common practice......"Transient" aircraft show up at many airports...usually there is "one FBO" that has a contract to park and service military AC.....I've seen Military AC at DW Hooks in Tomball(no fighters), All kinds of fighters,Sub-Chasers,& etc. at Ellington Field...But they are not usually mixed with AC assigned to a base or ANG....At Ellington the were at the FBO while all the ANG/Reserve/USCG were at the other end.....
It's a real blast to see such a mix...At one time (at Ellington) I saw F/A-18c/d's, A-7's, F-16's F-15's S3's, P-3c's, F-4's, Marine RF-4's.....
Of course at Ellington, NASA has the RB-57's.. That's a hoot to watch.
