FYI, the "bird" is about 50 pixels wide, scanned at 4000 pixels per inch, making the image about 0.0125inch on the negative. If you had a guess about the distance to the object and focal length of the lens used, the physical size of the bird could be estimated.

Note the kind of half arc at the back of the bird. If this was a UAV, could it be there is a propeller on the back, and the camera caught it in motion? You can almost see what looks like a very faint arc between the "legs" of the bird.

With this high res scan, maybe you should email Art Bell. This could get a bit of discussion going on his show.

You might want to upload the raw and sharpened versions of the scan since they are pretty small. I believe Internet Explorer can view tif files directly. (My PC calls up an image view I have installed due to file associations, so I'm not sure what a stock IE Explorer will do with a tif file.)
