ANG pilots are not just "weekend pilots". Even the part timers fly more than just a weekend a month, and they have the exactly same training as active duty USAF pilots, and they have to keep just as current and trained as active duty pilots too. ANG pilots are not less trained than their active duty counterparts

He wont be charged with negligence, since there was no mishap. Sounds like he is up for "remedial training", I doubt he is going to be kicked out of the ANG over it.
