For those who may be interested, I've posted some images of Kelly's Johnson's patent drawings online - no U-2 or Blackbirds there unfortunately, but there is a 1949 design for a swing-wing fighter (probably more a general arrangement drawing than anything specific)a twin-pusher bomber with canarads, the F-104, P-80, a P-80 type design with a nose intake, and F-90-ish design with an F-94 rocket nose, and some other things...
