I bought my scope on ebay. You can sometimes find good deals there, but you have to know the prices. I have seen scopes sell there for more than they cost new. A good inexpensive online mail orders place is adorama.com, although they screwed up one of my orders recently.
To attach a camera to a scope you need a "T-adapter". That is basically a tube that attaches to the back of your scope. The other end has a "T-ring", which is specific for each camera. If you have two cameras you just replace the t-ring when you switch cameras. You can get T-rings for almost any camera, as long as it has a removable lens.
I am sure Gary can give you some more tips, if he's listening.
