Good question. Most of the supplies are trucked in from the south, on Mercury Highway, which is also the main entry point for the NTTR. That makes it hard to track what actually goes to Area 51 and not to one of the many other facilities within the NTTR.

There is a new central construction facility in the NTS north of Yucca Lake. It may also provide construction services for major projects at Area 51.

For most of the older Black Projects at Area 51, including the A-12 and the F-117, the test articles were built somewhere else and then trucked or flown to Area 51 in several large sections. From Tikaboo you can frequently see 18-wheelers driving around the base. But they seem to mostly go in the direction of Gate 700, which leads to the NTS and Mercury Highway.
