The thing i have to keep telling myself is "these guys were working on the stealth bomber when i was just a twinkle in my fathers eye.... and even now that aircraft never ceases to amaze me..." my mind boggles at the stuff behind closed doors... it doesnt have to have come from zeta reticuli to be amazing... i think if the top minds of the airforce etc can come up with stealth, fly by wire etc (even the damn shape of the thing, so unconventinal!) in 60s, the possibilities of what they have now are endless. My guess is perhaps UAV's with ultra high manouverability, new forms of thrust vectoring and aircraft with mach numbers that make your head explode....
