I don't remember his reply it was maybe over a year ago? I think he just never emailed me back after his one question. I believe liveatc needs sends you software. I plan on taking some time off work for a few weeks soon. Maybe I'll contact liveatc again. I would even consider buying an antenna like Joerg posted (for the cause!) Why mount the antenna in the attic and not directly to the roof? Cable hole? My Direct TV guy had to run another cable thru my wall for my DVR. He just plugged it with silicon and two plastic plugs.
