True, the B737-200's are old and noisy; however these models like several others along with many B727's have been 'hush-kitted'. This is meaning of the "Q" designation you mave seen in some of the ATC filings. Another major concern is the future of aircraft parts. As far as KLAS is concerned, the traffic volume has really increased in the last few years. As such, that is why you see more and more FAA imposed traffic managment initiatives (TMI's) for KLAS. Typically, these are Ground Delay Programs (GDP) that essentially assigns a "wheels-up" time for all arrivals into KLAS. The GDP in essence regulates the amount of arrivals on an hourly basis. Anyways, I think these things easily explain the reasons for delay.
