There was in fact a small TV repeater from the Fellini ranch up there. The cammo box is in direct line between that repeater and the ranch, so there is a good chance that that is what the counter picked up.

I'll try to scan the 400 MHz band next time. Thanks for the tips, looks like we found one of "their" repeater sites.
