Extremely nice catch regarding the Janet plane. You hear about Janet planes at various locations, but photographic evidence is always appreciated. You can read about the Janet planes going to the SF Bay area, but nobody has ever documented this.

The communcations site photo is interesting. The cammo box at the far left has a stacked folded dipole. This is a high gain design often used in UHF communications, though sometimes in 800 Mhz trunked systems. In this case, comparing the size to the propane tank nearby, I'd say that antenna is used for the 400 Mhz federal coms.

Is that a dopler dish on Halligan Mesa?
