Looks like the vehicle just outside a TTR hanger is a variant of the Marine Corps LAV, an eight wheel armored personnel carrier. It appears to have a boxy protrusion off of it's rear deck, that is unlike any variant I have seen. Since there appear to be several others garaged in the hanger, I can assume that they are in pre-operational training. The question is what armored vehicle weapon system would rate a berth at TTR instead of 29 Palms or China Lake. It could be an anti-aircraft weapon or radar being tested with an as yet unknown aircraft? Any other thought or observations?
