Some good thoughts, thanks for your input! Did anyone notice what looks like wires lead from the receiver back into the dish? Any idea what that means? Maybe nothing, but I am just not an expert with dishes.
I should add that there were two of these, next to the runway. One was fairly close to a hangar housing what we believe to be a new Black Project, likely a UAV, with clear line of sight at the hangar doors. In fact, it appeared aimed at the doors when not in use. Line of sight at the aircraft while airborne is unlikely to be a problem. However, there may have been interference with vehicles on the ground in the vicinity, blocking line of sight.
The dishes, as well as the project, have since been moved to a new, unknown location.
