From my angle I see Google Earth as a quite useful tool.But also a perveyor of dis-information.Much of the POI's for the area of your interest are wrongly named,need removing or re-naming.The images in many cases are very out of date & misleading.That may well be the intent.Believe in what you see with the Mark 1 eyeball.
