Joan Lunden (used to be on ABC morning show) got the same ride. she had a TV show - hour long, on abc where she featured different operations in the military. probably 4-6 episodes to my recollection, in the early 90's.
the thing I found interesting is that the U-2/TR-1 is basically hanging out there on the edge of a stall at its operating altitude of 80,000' or so. the pilot she flew with reamarked about this. only standard rate turns - nothing abrupt at altitude. as I recall they got some sort of warning for hydraulics or engine and had to terminate the flight a little early.
