Obviously everything done in the UK is with much smaller budgets and resources but most likely more effective and successful as more attention and one-off resources can be dedicated to detail and quality. Most testing I am sure is done within the UK, but not on the scale the UFO nutters would like you to believe, the secret stuff the UK needs to test is probably nothing like the "hobbyists" are looking out for.
