I'll admit I get confused between the different methods of lat/lon notation :) I noticed a few days ago that the Google imagery of Area 19 seems to have been recently updated at a much higher resolution than the previous version. I looked around and found the substation; those are the coordinates Google earth gave me. There are some power lines extending northward from the substation. They are fairly easy to see due to the shadows of the poles at regular intervals, and they follow the maintenance trails under them. One extends to the northern reaches of Dead Horse Flat, long rumored to be a place of "mystery". On another note, the main road seems to be in good condition and reasonably well maintained. The tar strips from crack patching are very visible. Will
